Summary
TheFinal Fantasyseries endures as one of the most popular video game franchises of all time, spawning multiple games, shows, movies, and everything else players can think of. The fact that this series still captures a large space in the gaming industry is indicative of how legendary this series really is, witheach title featuring engrossing gameplaythat spans hundreds of hours.
Final Fantasycan be pretty obtuse with its side quests at times, including the many secrets that players can find in the game. It can be pretty hard to try and find some of the more secret weapons that have a resounding kick to them and are very much necessary for players who wish to optimize the damage of their party members.

6Kitchen Knife (Final Fantasy 4)
One ofthe strongest weapons inFinal Fantasy 4is something that can’t even be equipped, which may make players think that obtaining it is simply not worth the effort. However, while the Kitchen Knife that players obtain from Shiela can’t be equipped, it can definitely be thrown for some serious damage. Players obtain this after getting the Sylph summon, making it a great last-ditch weapon to chuck at an enemy.
In the 3D version, this knife is actually equippable… but not in the traditional sense. Players have to hack Golbez into the party who can wield this powerful weapon, which is a pretty unique fact that not many people are aware of.

5Dragon’s Whisker (Final Fantasy 5)
There are many rare enemies thatplayers can find in theFinal Fantasygames, and it’s very common for players to go through an entire game without filling up their bestiary. One such enemy that is only encountered in a specific area of the game is a Stingray, which is one of the most coveted enemies in the game for a bevy of reasons.
For starters, Beastmasters can control this enemy and help Blue Mages learn Mighty Guard, a powerful defensive Blue Magic spell that is extremely useful in every game it’s featured in. Thieves can also try to pinch the ultra-rate Dragon’s Whisker, which is an extremely powerful whip that always deals critical damage to dragons.

4Lightbringer (Final Fantasy 6)
Final Fantasy 6has some of the most unique equipment in the game that fans will love to uncover. There are also many missable weapons, with players having to make certain choices if they wish to obtain the toughest ones of the bunch. Ragnarok is both a sword and a piece of magicite that players have to choose from, withmost people opting to get the summon instead.
However, if players get the sword instead, then they can bet it at the Dragon’s Neck Coliseum to enjoy the chance of receiving an ever more powerful weapon. In fact, the Lightbringer is incredibly strong and deals Holy damage with its attacks too, making it even more incredible to behold!

3Excalibur 2 (Final Fantasy 9)
Many people considerFinal Fantasy 9tobe one of the greatest video games out of the PS1 trilogy, which is hefty praise given the quality of all three games. The title effectively combines the new innovations inFinal Fantasywith the roots of the series while introducing a wealth of beloved characters who have intricate backstories and motivations of their own. It also has some truly ridiculous secrets that are downright impossible to find.
The worst one of the lot is Excalibur 2, Steiner’s ultimate weapon that can only be found near the final dungeon if players reach this point in less than 12 hours. Not only is this close to impossible, but players have to actively ignore other hidden items, side quests, and everything else along the same lines that are arguably more valuable!

2Onion Knight (Final Fantasy 10)
Final Fantasy 10is notorious for having some of the most ridiculous requirements to unlock the main party’s Celestial weapons. Truth be told, there are many candidates who can make the cut when it comes to unlocking the full power of these weapons, but the Onion Knight definitely takes the cake here.
Not only doplayers need to fight an optional boss, but they need to dodge a total of 200 lightning bolts in the Thunder Plains in a row! This task is ridiculously monotonous, and players have to maintain a mental score of this tiresome minigame while hoping that they don’t end up missing a button press and having to do things all over again.

1Dragon Lance (Final Fantasy 5)
Most of the toughest bosses inFinal Fantasy 5are dragons that can completely whoop the player to kingdom come if they’re not careful. As a result, it becomes important to use weapons that can bring pain to these enemies, and the Dragon Lance is perfect in this regard.
This weapon can be a pain to obtain, with players having to steal it from either Jura Aevis or the Crystal Dragons in the Interdimensional Rift, the game’s final dungeon. While this weapon can also be stolen from Neo Exdeath, there’s not really a point to do thisunless players start a New Game+.
