The reason for the disparity is that the Performance mode’s visuals are actually quite subpar, and players will witness visibly blurry characters, which can put a damper on the gameplay experience.
Surely, the 60FPS is extremely nice to have, but considering how good the game’s world is, Performance mode doesn’t do justice to it. The only case where Performance mode might be a good choice is when players are playing on lower resolutions and smaller screens, as the inconsistencies will be less prominent.
