Summary

Star Wars Huntersis a competitive arena combat game that gives players all manner ofdifferent characters to tryout to find the ones they like best. One of the character types for players to explore is the Tank role, with each character in this role having a very different playstyle compared to any of the others.

The Tanks of the game will be soaking up aggro and damage, so the Damage and Support roles are less likely to fall as frequently. These characters are best used by standing between their enemies and where those enemies want to move. Getting past a Tank is ill-advised, as they can still dish out devastating damage from behind.

Tank Charr Star Wars Hunters

Control Enemy Positions

Charr is a member of the Trandoshan race and is designated as a Trapper. His weapon of choice is the Scatter Gun. This weapon works much better at close range compared to being at a distance from one’s targets, so players may want to move along tighter spaces and avoid open areas. Players will want to get the hang of the game andlearn all the tips & tricksto best use Charr.

Charr is harder to knock back and can self-heal, making it easy to outlast opponents. He is also able to use traps and snares to control where his targets will be. Using his ultimate will give players a burst of speed and strike with melee-range claws — best used when there are 2 or more opponents close by. He is incredibly fun to play and worth trying out.

Tank Grozz Star Wars Hunters

Melee Berserker Playstyle

Grozz is a member of the Wookie race and is designated as a Juggernaut. His weapons of choice are his Improvised Clubs. These clubs are devastating at close range, which synergize well with Grozz’s playstyle to close in on enemies using his Stampede and Upheaval abilities. Stampeded causes him to charge in, while Upheaval will slam the ground to inflict a debuff that slows enemies. Just like Charr, Grozz has an ability that allows him to restore his health to make him worthy of the tank role.

Grozz has a harder learning curve than Charr, but those who take the time to get good with Grozz will be formidable opponents. His ultimate will let him throw a boulder that can bounce off walls, damaging and stunning enemies it comes in contact with. Grozz is so fearsome as is that he doesn’t have a passive feature. Heavily relying on melee range means this character worksbetter in certain game modes over others.

Tank Slingshot Star Wars Hunters

Extremely Mobile & Effective

Dizzy is a member of the Ugnaught race. They use a modified droideka and together are designated as a Speedster. Their weapons of choice are the droideka’s Twin Blaster Cannons. Any tank that can move around at high speeds is a threat. Their Rollout passive lets them move at high speeds throughoutthe game’s many locations, which is where their designated typing comes from. Just like Grozz, they can charge forward using Trickshot, with Slingshot being much faster than Grozz — this does require time to charge up beforehand.

Slingshot has no means of healing themselves, which is balanced by their Unstable Shield ability that gives them a spherical protective barrier. This barrier will explode when destroyed or manually detonated. Their last active ability lets them spray a volley of rockets in front of them, perfect for mopping up a weakened enemy. Their Ultimate will have them bounce up and down continuously, damaging all enemies within range of the Ultimate. This can easily decimate an entire enemy team.

Tan Sentinel Star Wars Hunters

Long-Range Tank

One of the firstcharacters unlocked in the gameis Sentinel. He is a former stormtrooper from the Empire and is designated as an Imperial Heavy Gunner. His weapon of choice is the E-Web Heavy Repeater. This weapon is even more dangerous once Combat Shield is deployed, which protects Sentinel from damage while also enhancing the performance of the E-Web. Sentinel is most effective at longer ranges, with some tricks to keep enemies at a distance. When in a pinch, Suppressing Shot can be used to knock an enemy down.

This can turn the tide of an encounter by knocking down an enemy before they are able totake an allyout of action. Barrel Slam lets them knock back those that try to get up close against Sentinel, putting them at the mercy of Sentinel’s optimal range. His Ultimate calls down two additional stormtroopers to fight alongside him with a hailstorm of laser fire. Similar to Grozz, Sentinel has no need for a passive ability with all the tools they already have, making them a true beast of character.
