The Jackbox Party Box 5

The-Jackbox-Party-Box-6-1

Players must work together to follow the instructions and defuse a bomb.

Sound Effects

Each round, a Judge (player) selects a prompt, which everyone else has to match with two sound effects. The Judge picks the best pairing, giving that person a point.

Players answer a “Yes or No” question, and then everyone guesses what percentage picked which answer. The closest wins.

The Jackbox Party Box 7

Players draw t-shirts and logo designs, all of which are randomly combined by other people. The group then votes for their favorite ones to determine the best overall shirt.

Dating

Each player is a monster with a special power; every night, they message each other to try and get a romance going. Once the messages are sent, everyone picks a partner, with hearts being awarded to those who select each other.

Two players separately add to a doodle, and then everyone votes on the superior art piece. That is then used as the base for the next two players to draw on, a process that goes on until everyone has a turn. Once it is complete, people come up with a title for the picture.

3-16

Using prompts, players write an answer that works for them, all of which are entered into a bracket tournament to determine the best one. With each stage of the contest, the prompts become vaguer or are switched around following the answering stage.

Survival

Every player’s answer to a question is sent to someone else so they can twist it around to the detriment of the original writer. The funniest new answer wins.

Given two randomly selected prompts written by the group, players must draw an invention that can fix the issue. All inventions are presented to the party, who can then invest in their preferred devices. The goal is to receive enough funding ($1000) to get the invention approved.

Music

Players create raps for battles, with everyone else reacting to the bars by cheering or booing. Depending on the rap’s reception, players gain cash, with the richest person winning after the final round.

1-6

Action

Players take part in a competition where they have to slingshot their character into enemies of the same color. This is quite a complicated minigame compared to other Jackbox titles.

Players complete sentences or questions that are sent to other people who will vote “Yes or No.” The goal is to split the vote as evenly as possible.

Creative

Players create a word and write its dictionary definition, along with crafting synonyms. The new words are saved in a dictionary.

Players come up with punchlines to jokes and catchphrases.

4-10

The group is stuck on a spaceship with a couple of their members secretly being aliens. The humans must find the aliens, and the latter must stay hidden.

Split into categories, players are presented with roles and must vote for whom they believe would fit them the best from their group. The ones with the most votes receive the roles and a point, while voting with the majority also rewards points.

Based on previously unseen textual or visual prompts, players must deliver a speech. They are then judged.

The Devils and the Details

Players work together to complete chores, although not everyone might have the group’s best intentions in mind.

2-6

Using a handful of words, a player must describe a prompt. The quicker someone else guesses it correctly, the more points they (and the presenter) receive.

Players draw a Champion and Challenger based on titles, and the creations then face off with people voting on which one is the best.

Largely similar to the previous iterations, just with a couple of new hosting features.

Social Deduction/Drawing

Players draw two weapons and must hide a calling card in their creations. They also bring along a guest with a unique name; if another player guesses who brought the guest, they will kill the latter, launching a murder investigation.

Each player asks theWheel a burning question. Then, every participant receives two slices of the wheel with questions; if they answer correctly, they earn points. The person with the most points gets their burning question answered.

2-10

Divided into teams, players vote to determine which door they should go through. The answers are polled from the group prior to the first round.

The popular game is back for another run, and while the core gameplay loop is not all that different,Fibbage 4has enough changes to stand out from the crowd. Final Fibbage is the most exciting new feature, and it takes players with coming up with a lie that complements two prompts rather than just one. Otherwise, this party game delivers the same hilarity as its predecessors.

4-9

Complex on paper but a blast in execution,Roomerangstarts by asking players to pick an avatar. Once done, every participant must answer a prompt, with players then voting for their favorite and least favorite answers. The latter’s creator will then be eliminated, only for them to return as a different avatar. Split into five stages,Roomerangshakes things up consistently to ensure things never get stale. Once all the stages are played through, a final vote is conducted to determine the overall winner.

1-10

The onlyJackbox Party Pack 9mini-gamethat supports solo play,Quixortchallenges players to answer a prompt by sorting blocks in the right order. Points are awarded depending on a user’s performance. Players are split into two teams, and each game consists of three rounds.

A wizard turns all the players into frogs and takes them shopping. Each user picks an item and crafts a humorous backstory for it, which they must then present to the rest of the group. Players must then vote for the funniest item/presentation. This process is repeated for the second round, while the third and final round shakes things up by tasking players to sell their two items as a set.

Drawing/Party

A monkey scientist gives a player a prompt and a range, which they have to communicate to the rest of the group by either writing a word or drawing something. If the other participants guess the range or come close to it, points are handed out.
