FromSoftware’sElden Ringhas earned widespread critical acclaim since launch, with many hailing it as one of the best video games ever made.Elden Ringis an incredibly polished experience, but that doesn’t mean it’s without its flaws. Like most other open world games,Elden Ringlaunched with some glitches and bugs that the developers have had to take care of with post-launch patches, and now two of the most infamous ones have been fixed.
FromSoftware recently releasedElden Ringupdate 1.04, which fixed many lingering issues with the open world game. TheElden Ringupdate 1.04 patch noteswere a little vague in some cases, however, and so some fans may not have known specifically what bugs were fixed. A video from Zullie the Witch showcases two of theElden Ringglitches that were fixed with update 1.04, so now fans know exactly what changed in the update.

First off,Elden Ringupdate 1.04 fixed thebleed dog glitch, which caused the enemy to deal an absurd amount of damage. Prior to the update, the bleed dogs were unintentionally some of the deadliest enemies that players could encounter in the entire game, capable of one-shotting Tarnished regardless of their level or HP. After downloading the update,Elden Ringplayers should be taking normal damage from the dogs.
The other big glitch fixed in this latestElden Ringupdate is the infamous illusory wall glitch. First discovered inVolcano Manor, theElden Ringcommunity found out that there were some illusory walls in the game that could only be knocked down if they were hit 50 or so times. As one might imagine, this caused theElden Ringcommunity to think that there were other such walls hidden throughout the game world, potentially hiding treasures or other things of interest.
However, it seems that these particularElden Ringillusory wallswere glitches, and FromSoftware did not actually mean to feature them in the game. As such,Elden Ringupdate 1.04 removes them, as proven by Zullie the Witch’s video.
Elden Ringupdate 1.04 goes a long way in fixing some of the game’s biggest glitches, but it appears to have added some new ones to the mix. Since downloading the update, notoriously difficultElden Ringboss Maleniais now much harder to beat. Malenia has a gimmick where she can heal herself with every hit she lands on the player, but after the update, she’s getting healed even when she doesn’t land a successful blow. One has to imagine that this will be fixed sooner rather than later, so fans should hang tight.
Elden Ringis out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
