Elden Ringis by no means a small game. It features an expansive world that is filled to the absolute brim with places to explore, NPCs to meet, enemies to destroy, and bosses to slay. The sheer amount of things to do in the latest From Software title is staggering and it can be downright overwhelming for new players (especially those unfamiliar with how Souls-style games work).

There isn’t a lot of hand-holding that takes place in the earliest parts of the game and players will usually find themselves confused about some key things as they progress the story. One example is when gamers are thrust into Roundtable Hold, an area that works well asElden Ring’s"hub zone." Here’s a look at how players can leave the maze-like area once they are sent there.
How To Get To Roundtable Hold
Although Roundtable Hold acts as the hub area for Elden Ring, getting there is a bit ambiguous. The only way to access it is by resting at one of two Site of Grace spots. Players will encounter a cutscene with Melina, who will promptly send them to Roundtable Hold directly. The two Sites of Grace that trigger this encounter are:
It is possible to access Roundtable Hold before killing Margit, the Fell Omen by engaging with the boss fight a few times and then leaving the area. Once players come back and rest at the Site of Grace before the boss fight it should trigger the cutscene. (Those having trouble getting it to trigger should try clearing the area of enemies before the tunnel leading to the Site of Grace).

Players that want to gain access to the Lake-Facing Cliffs without fighting through hordes of Gordic’s soldiers can actually bypass all the enemies on the way to the Site of Grace by taking an un-impeded path through the mountains north of the Stormhill Shack. To do this, players should start at the Stormville Shack and head due north on the road until the road begins to bend to the left. Instead of following the road, players can continue forward and go under the massive arched bridge and through the woods.
On the other side of the arch, players will encounter a bridge that stretches into the distance before being abruptly cut off. At the end of this section, players can look down to the left and see a pathway that they can leap down to. Once down there, they should travel up and to the right to put themselves on a linear path towards the Lake-Facing Cliffs Site of Grace.

It’s important tobe wary as there are a couple of wolf packsthat roam the areas, and it’s tight-quarters combat as most of the pathway is along a cliff side. Players that don’t wish to chance it can simply try running past all the mobs until they make it to the Site of Grace.
How To Leave Roundtable Hold
Roundtable Hold is a great hub area filled with an array of useful NPCs (and some hidden secrets). It’s a twisty (albeit small) maze of rooms and players can quickly find themselves frustrated on how to exit the area, as all of the doors seem barred or locked.
The only way to leave Roundtable Hold is by fast-traveling to a previously-unlocked Site of Grace. To do this, players will need to bring up their map and then hover over any of the Golden Medallion icons. These icons act as Sites of Grace and will allow players to freely teleport to any area they have already visited.

Players will also be able to return to Roundtable Hold in the same manner, and the icon for the Hub is always located in the bottom-left hand corner of the map, in its own large circular symbol separate from the rest of the world map.
What Can Players Do In Roundtable Hold?
Roundtable Hold acts as the main hub for Elden Ring, giving players access to a wide array of NPCs that can be used for a variety of things. Here’s a look at what players will have access to in the expansive hub:
