WhileElden Ringis still finding continued success, topping sales charts month after month, some fans are ready to see what’s next for FromSoftware’s biggest game to date. In anticipation of a potential expansion, one fan has committed to adding Iron Fist Alexander, a fan-favoriteElden Ringcharacter, to a movie scene every day until a DLC is announced.

Over five months after its release,Elden Ringstill dominates gaming conversations. FromSoftware’s massive RPG is already considered Game of the Year by some, even as the industry moves towards releasing some of the biggest games this year. At this point, however, many ofElden Ring’s fanswould like to see how FromSoftware intends to expand the game in the form of DLC. TheSoulsgames andBloodbornewere known to have extensive and high-quality DLC packs that took the player to new locations and introduced some of the best bosses in the franchise. An apparent leak claims that a DLC is arriving forElden Ringsometime next year, but the validity of those claims is still in question.

Fan expectations for anElden RingDLC are high, and so is the hype surrounding it. In preparation for a DLC announcement, a Reddit user named freetrolley42 has taken it upon themselves to photoshop Iron Fist Alexander into random movie scenes every day until it happens. The first post depicts Alexander in the movieForrest Gump, standing next to Forrest during the iconic scene where the character reaches Santa Monica Pier and turns around to continue his legendary marathon. Freetrolley42 is currently on day two, having photoshopped Alexander into the opening scene ofJay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Alexander taking the place of Silent Bob.

It appears that theElden Ringcommunity has found a lot of joy in freetrolley42’s photoshopping antics. The first day’s post currently sits at over 22,000 upvotes, but many wonder how long these posts could last. FromSoftware likely has a lot to consider when making aDLC forElden Ring, and the company hasn’t stated its intent to make an expansion. Moreover, not every game in From’s catalog has always received a DLC. Freetrolley42 might have quite a lot of photoshopping to do in the future.

Interestingly, the post format of photoshopping something related to gaming into a movie scene isn’t new to these gaming communities. Throughout this year, a fan on the Steam Deck subreddit photoshopped one of Valve’s handheld PCs into a movie scene every day until their quarter-three purchase happened. Those posts lasted for 77 days and saw a Steam Deck in movies ranging from modern hits likeThe Avengersto older films likeBreakfast at Tiffany’s. How long theElden Ringcommunitywill continue to place Alexander in interesting new places remains to be seen.

Elden Ringis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
