Wrathful Hearts are the real stars ofDiablo 4Season 1; they offer some of the most powerful effects out of all Malignant Hearts. In exchange, they’re also the rarest of the bunch, and many players will want to find the perfect Wrathful Hearts that complement their builds as soon as possible.

The drop rates of Wrathful Hearts were a point of contention at the beginning ofSeason of the Malignant, but the 1.1.1 patch forDiablo 4addressed these by bumping some numbers up, effectively increasing the odds of getting a Wrathful Heart from all sources. With that said, here are the best ways to farm Wrathful Hearts without relying on bugs or exploits.
Diablo 4 Wrathful Heart Farm
Like other hearts, Wrathful Hearts are obtainedby defeating Malignant monsters. Players will know what kind of heart an enemy of this type will drop by checking the modifiers list below the monster’s health bar. Elites inside Malignant Tunnels are always Malignant, making these the perfect spots to farm.
Luck is still going to be involved when farming Wrathful Hearts. There’s no telling what monsters are going to appear in the tunnels, so it’s best to breeze through them as quickly as possible to maximize efficiency. Farming is best done with a group, but solo players should be able to clear tunnels just as easily by using the best builds for their class.
Before diving into a tunnel, make sure to have a Wrathful Invoker so as not to waste a potential Wrathful Heart drop in the chamber past the Malignant Corruption at the end of the tunnel. Players may also want to challenge Varshan for a couple of extra Malignant Hearts as well as some good loot.
TheRavening Pitis arguably the quickest and easiest Malignant Tunnel to farm. Players can find this in the Untamed Scarps subregion of the Dry Steppes. Ignore all the mobs and go straight for the elite enemies.
Apart from relying on random spawns and drops, players can visit Cormond and use his workbench tocraft random Caged Heartsdirectly. This process requires Ichor, a seasonal crafting material that can be obtained through slaying monsters or recycling unwanted Malignant Hearts.
Unfortunately, Wrathful Hearts cannot be crafted. Instead, players will have to rely on the Uncertain Heart crafting option and hope that they get the ones they want. Choosing to make Uncertain Invokers is also an option, but this only has the potential to yield Wrathful Invokers instead of Wrathful Hearts.
Diablo 4is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
