Summary
Responding to fan feedback over the slow rollout of all 12 Brave Weapons forDestiny 2Into the Light, Bungie announces changes to its release plan and a few other gameplay related tweaks. As Season of the Wish rolls on, all eyes have turned to a unique new event coming toDestiny 2called Into The Light. Over the past couple of weeks, Bungie has given fans a good look at what they can expect from this event once it launches on April 9.
In addition to a newHorde style game mode called Onslaught, where a fireteam of three attempt to defend the Last City from waves of enemies like the Fallen and Hive, Bungie has also confirmed the return of numerous fan favorite weapons into a new collection called the BRAVE Arsenal. The set of 12 weapons includes returning favorites like the powerful SMG Recluse, Hammerhead Machine Gun, and Blast Furnace pulse rifle to name a few. Fans will even be able to unlock a special set of curated armor that takes inspiration from the very beginning ofDestiny 2. However, it seems there was one element that fans weren’t too happy about, something which Bungie has decided to reverse course on.

With12 BRAVE weapons in total to unlock inDestiny 2, the original plan set in motion by Bungie was to slowly roll them out over the course of multiple weeks. With 6 to earn at launch, the remaining 6 would appear slowly throughout April and through May 21, which fans were not thrilled about. However, based on that fan feedback, the Destiny 2 Team account revealed that the studio was changing that decision to instead release all 12 weapons by April 30, condensing the schedule and teasing that the second half of the event would also feature more content for players to look forward to.

In addition, all 12 BRAVE weapons can continue to be farmed after Into the Light comes to an end, as Bungie is planning to move Onslaught to a dedicated node from theDestiny 2Director under the Vanguard Ops section of the menu. OnceThe Final Shape launches in June forDestiny 2, players will also be able to enhance these perks, making these weapons even stronger.
Next week, Bungie is set to reveal the third and final developer livestream, promising even more content coming toDestiny 2.
