In a video posted toSea of Thieves' YouTube channel, it’s explained that Safer Seas will allow up to four friends to play on their own server. This mode offers a wide range of content for sailors to enjoy, including trading company voyages, encounters with deadly creatures, Tall Tale story content, and more. As a tradeoff for not having to worry about PvP, Safer Seas players earn gold and reputation at 30% of the rate seen in the game’s regular High Seas mode. Sailors can still earn seasonal rewards within Safer Seas. Also, Safer Seas players cannot earn progress toward the Reaper’s Bones and Athena’s Fortune trading companies, and will be capped at level 40 for the others. To progress further, sailors will need to switch over to High Seas.

However, players can earn Seasonal Renown at the same rate seen in High Seas, and commendations and achievements can still be earned in the new mode. The video further explains that Safer Seas is a perfect mode for those stilllearning the ropes ofSea of Thieves, and is also a great option for young kids.

Sea of Thievesfeatures plenty of fun content, including the ability to earnJack Sparrow as a crewmate. Although he’s not voiced by Johnny Depp, he sounds virtually identical, creating plenty of amusing moments for sailors to enjoy.
