Summary
Dead by Daylightaccommodates many playstyles thanks to its plentiful perks and tools. Many players stick to themeta survivor perks, resulting in the game feeling mundane due to the lack of out-of-the-box perks. Many underrated perks can be powerful under the right circumstances.
Underrated perks open doors for new playstyles, techniques, and avenues to victory. These perks cover abilities related to healing and aura reading and allow survivors to interact with their environment in new ways. These perks also tend to pair well with others and when combined can become an annoyance to killers.

6Autodidact
Healing perks are perfect for team-focused players who dedicate their efforts tokeeping their team at full health. Autodidact is a unique healing perk as it only performs positively after two skill checks. The perk struggles as it heavily depends on skill checks and will not add any benefits if players are not getting any skill checks during their healing.
Each successful healing skill check provides a token to a total of 5. The first skill check will remove 25% of healing progression, followed by a negative 10%. On the second token, it will add a positive 5%, then a 20%, followed by a 35% and a final of 50%.

The perk takes a long time to fully charge with tokens, but it will become game-changing in the end game as healing time can be cut down by 50%. Autodidact pairs well with Empathy as it gives players an easier time finding injured teammates. This perk does not work with a medkit but will work with other perks that speed up healing.
5Hope
Picking a perk that only activates in the final stages of the game is a bold choice, but will pay off in the right circumstances. Hope gives players a speed boost that only activates when the exit gates are powered. On tier 3, Hope provides a 7% speed boost that can be felt instantly.
Players will have an easier time evading killers, especially in loops. Killers unaware of players using hope will be wasting valuable end-game time chasing players with a speed buff. Hope is afun survivor perkfor players who love distracting killers and helping teammates escape during critical moments.

4Spies From The Shadows
Crows are everywhere inDead by Daylight, and utilizing them as a killer will help players find survivors hiding in corners nearby. Spies from the Shadows gives killers a noise notification when a crow has been disturbed, but its main downside is its small range. On tier 3 the perk has a maximum distance of 36 meters with a 5-second cooldown.

This perk is ideal for players who know a survivor’s general location but struggle to narrow them down. Spies from the Shadows may not be one of thebest killer perksbut gives killers a chance to surprise survivors hiding a few meters away.
3Diversion
In the endless tormenting trials ofDead by Daylight,no one would expect a pebble to save survivors from a hairy situation. With Diversion, survivors gain the ability to throw a rock that creates a noise distraction where it lands and also creates fake scratch marks.
On tier 3 the perk requires players to stay within the killer’s terror radius for 30 seconds to gain the ability to throw the rock. The rock shines best when thrown far from the player when the killer is honing in on their location.

While this perk may not always work, getting saved thanks to the distraction capabilities of a small pebble is always hilarious to witness. This perk comes from Adam Francis, who has perks that allow for thebest survivor builds inDead by Daylight.
2Empathic Connection
Only a few perks work well when playing solo or with friends, but Empathic Connection benefits all players. The perk works similarly to Empathy but in the opposite way. Empathic Connection gives the injured survivor the ability to see players with Empathic Connection for a distance of up to 96 meters on tier 3.
Letting the injured survivor possess the ability to see who can heal them gives them the option to relocate to the player with the Empathic Connection perk. Players using Empathy usually chase injured survivors down to heal them and might not always want to be healed.

This perk works for playerskeeping a low profile from the killerwho does not want to expose themselves but still want to help out the team.
1We’ll Make It
Many players think unique perks are better, but sleeping on certain general perks is a disaster. This perk is essential for survivors who prioritize unhooks in their playstyle, as it rapidly increases healing speed.
We’ll Make It increases healing speed for unhooked survivors by 100% for 90 seconds on tier 3. This incredible speed boost to healing survivors off the hook will guarantee survivors can heal injured survivors off the hook, as long as the killer is not lurking nearby.
