The second new feature that will be included for the Stadia version of the game is the brand new Crowd Play mode, which gives streamers the ability to directly invite their audience into the game with the touch of a button, and play with them instantaneously. This feature will surely make for some fun, engaging streams.
Finally, the title was formally announced to be coming September of this year, so Stadia players won’t have to wait long before being able to pick it up.
First released in June 2016, the isometric multiplayer horror title has been a huge success, receiving countless additional killers, survivors, and maps through the years from popular horror games, TV shows, and movies. The game features classic horror icons Michael Myers, Ghost Face, Freddy Krueger, Leather Face,Evil Dead’s Ash Williams, and most recently,Silent Hill’s very own Pyramid Head.
It should be fun to see the various ways that players might take advantage of the Crowd Choice and Crowd Play modes. Though the mode is clearly intended for bigger YouTubers to interact with large streaming crowds, it’ll be interesting to see how the mode might work with just a smaller group of friends playing together. Though we got a sense of how it might work, it’ll be interesting to see exactly how the Crowd Play will function out of the box. We’ll find out when the game launches on the new streaming platform this Fall.
