The release ofCall of Duty: Vanguardhas been one of both negatives and positives. WhileVanguardplayers seem to be enjoying their time playing the game, it has suffered in terms of sales when compared to priorCall of Dutyreleases.Call of Duty: Vanguardhas divided opinions, but it does seem well-placed to be a very fondly looked upon title if it is able to earn more players.
One aspect that has been almost universally well-received by fans has beenCall of Duty: Vanguard’sWorld War 2 setting. This setting sees a number of classic maps and weapons return to theCall of Dutyseries, much to the excitement of long-termCall of Dutyfans. Call of Duty: Vanguard’s 1911 Sidearm
AsCall of Duty: Vanguard’sweapons go, very few are more iconic than the 1911 handgun. Despite being dated in its name, the 1911 is timeless, especially in theCall of Dutyseries. This pistol has featured in everything from World War 2Call of Dutygames, to the series’ modern counterparts as well. While this is clearly indicative of the 1911’s status as an icon in aWorld War 2-setCall of Duty, it also shows how it is one of the few weapons inCall of Duty: Vanguardnot solely confined to a World War 2 setting.
Aside from the 1911 being one of the more memorable guns in the game, as sidearms go, it is also one of thebest weapons inCall of Duty: Vanguard. It has speed and accuracy stats only rivaled by the Ratt handgun, and packs additional firepower compared to the Ratt. Seeing as the Ratt has been a breakaway favorite within theVanguardcommunity, the 1911 is in good standing to become one of the more popular weapons in the game as well. Although the 1911 is already fairly powerful with a good array of stats, players may look to improve the weapon to take it to another level and make it undisputedly the best handgun in the game.

Best 1911 Attachments in Call of Duty: Vanguard
Fortunately,Call of Duty: Vanguard’sgunsmithis always there to give players the opportunity to make improvements in areas where their weapons may fall short. The 1911 is no exception, as users can modify the sidearm to improve upon its existing strengths, or create new ones. With the 1911, players may be best served in improving the guns all around firepower, as opposed to further improving its accuracy. The 1911 is a sidearm, and as such, it is unlikely to be used in situations where great accuracy is needed. Instead, it will likely be used in close-range gunfights where speed and damage are of most concern to the player.
None ofCall of Duty: Vanguard’soperatorshave the 1911 down as their favorite weapon, unfortunately, so players do not receive any weapon XP boosts for selecting the right operator. There are though, a handful of attachments that can improve upon the 1911 handgun, although players should be careful not to cancel out any of its better stats.
The F8 Stabilizer muzzle, Lengthened ammo type, and Vital proficiency all offer improvements to the gun’s firepower, ranging from damage range to improved critical hit area. Players can then attach the Rapid Action trigger for faster firing speed, and the Fabric Grip to improve sprint to fire speed and aim down sight speed. With or without the improved damage and speed these attachments will add, the 1911 will be a great option as a secondary weapon inCall of Duty: Vanguard’smultiplayer gunfights.
Call of Duty: Vanguardis available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
