Regardless, fresh maps will be coming to theMW3multiplayer experience in the near future. Activision has officially confirmed three new maps for theModern Warfare 36v6 multiplayer experienceand one new map that will debut with Gunfight’s return in Season 1. The new 6v6 maps are Meat, which is a “compact” map set at a slaughterhouse; Greece, which is a medium-sized map that takes place at a coastal town; and Rio, which is set at a shopping center. Meat and Greece will be available with Season 1’s launch, though Rio won’t come until the Season 1 Reloaded update, likely to drop in 2024. Meanwhile, Gunfight will be making its return with Season 1’s launch in December alongside the new Training Facility map.

The2v2 Gunfight game modehas been hugely popular since it was introduced in the 2019Modern Warfaregame, and so many fans will undoubtedly be happy to see it return inModern Warfare 3. It remains to be seen just how many mapsModern Warfare 3Gunfight will have at Season 1’s launch, but it was teased that there will be some “returning” maps from previousCall of Dutygames added to the mix.
More details onModern Warfare 3multiplayer updates and changes for Season 1 will come at a later date. In the meantime, fans can also expect some new content for theModern Warfare 3Zombies mode and the introduction of theUrzikstan mapwhen Season 1 launches. An official start date for Season 1 has not been announced at the time of this writing, but more information on that front should come to light sooner rather than later.
