Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warplayers that have been struggling to progress through the ranks of Season 1’s Battle Pass are in luck. For a short time, Treyarch has sped up the progression of theCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarBattle Pass, allowing players to get through the 100 tiers faster.

WhileCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s mostrecent Double XP eventcame to an end yesterday, the special festivities in the game are continuing. While players will be going back to normal leveling speeds for guns and ranks, battle passes should be progressing at incredible speed for the next seven days. Double Battle Pass XP will continue from now until December 28, ending at 10AM PT on the aforementioned date.

Treyarch announced the arrival of the special Battle Pass event via a tweet, confirming that players will be able to unlock “twice as many Battle Pass rewards throughout the holidays.” Treyarch also confirmed that the quickened Battle Pass progression will carry over to Zombies as well, giving players of the game’s popular survival mode a chance to reap the rewards as well. Withthe Jingle Hells playlistcurrently active, festive Zombies and quick Battle Pass XP seems like a perfect holiday combo.

Players can gather quite a few standout items fromCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s first Battle Pass. Boththe MAC-10 SMGand Groza Assault Rifle are unlockable via pass progression, with the former being a powerhouse in multiplayer andCall of Duty: Warzone. The two weapons can be unlocked for free, with players required to buy the full Battle Pass if they want access to new operator Stitch and other locked items.

This Double Battle Pass XP event is great for a few reasons, the most obvious of which is its length. Rather than giving players faster Battle Pass unlocks for only a weekend, the event runs for an entire week, givingCall of Dutyfans with less time to play a chance to make a real dent in their Pass progression. Beyond that,Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warplayers have beenvocal about secret XP nerfs, pointing out how slow the normal pass progression takes. As such, even a temporary change will be welcomed with open arms by fans of the game.
