The Last Kingdom is a historical tale that follows the path of a single Viking warrior who must wage war against himself and his own people as the secrets of his past come to light. Many stories begin with orphans rising to power, or are set on a tragic journey of revenge. Stories of great battles, fallen kingdoms, and new lords rising to power have many fans on the edge of their seats as countless factions bide for power. The Last Kingdom follows a single man caught between two worlds who must fight both of them in order to survive. Things unfortunately take a terrible turn when he encounters a young man who may have the power to steal his freedom for him but, instead, only causes him to sink deeper into darkness.
