There are several Earthly regions inAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, spanning Norway, England, and evenVinland in North America. But once a player has pillaged to their heart’s content in a mortal body, or progressed far enough in the main storyline, some areas ripped straight from Norse mythology will become available.
One of these is Jotunheim, land of the giants and home to Loki, who, in theAssassin’s Creed Valhallauniverse, is one of the ancient Isu beings. As with any other territory, Jotunheim has a line of quests that begin to wind down the main saga and tie some story threads together.

After progressing through the line, players will come upon a quest called “A Feast to Remember,” assigned by Suttungr. Among other things, players will have to answer riddles from a character named Gunlodr, some of which can be confusing. Fortunately, there’s help — here are Gunlodr’s riddles, and how to answer them.
How to Solve Gunlodr’s Riddles
In “A Feast to Remember,” Suttungr will task you with helping empty a cauldron of mead. There are several different ways to accomplish this, inlcuding engaging Gunlodr, Suttungr’s daughter, in witty repartee. The teal objective marker on the map below shows the location of this quest.
Gunlodr, who is hesitant to consume alcohol, will be standing alone outside of the hall. She will have a teal diamond over her head, making her easier to spot. Approach her and engage with her, which will start a small cutscene.
Eventually, Havi (Eivor) will agree to engage in a series of riddles. Unlike some ofAssassin’s Creed Valhalla’s mysteries, there won’t be much guidance on this one. Fortunately, all of the answers have already been figured out. Here they are.
Riddle:Would that I had now what I had yesterday. Find out what that was. Mankind it mars, speech it hinders, yet speech it will inspire.
Answer:Ale
Riddle:Who is that shrill one who rides a hard road and has fared that way before? He kisses hard who has two mouths and goes only on gold.
Answer:Hammer
Riddle:White-haired women, servants two, bore ale-tub to the larder. No hand turned it, nor hammer beat it. But there, outside the islands, the upright one who made it.
Answer:Swan and egg
Answering all of Gunlodr’s riddles will lift her spirits, and she will go have a drink of mead, further contributing to the main objective. She’ll also beavailable to romancea bit later in the quest, making it easier to progress.
