The latest special limited-time mode forApex Legends, Ring Fury, has switched its rules again to Level 3, mostly combining Levels 1 and 2 with a few slight changes. The mode introduces ring flares – miniature rings that expand and collapse throughout a Ring Fury match –thanks to Fuse’s former friend, Mad Maggie.

Since Ring Fury is an “escalating takeover," the mode’s rules will change every few days of the Chaos Theory collection event. ManyApex Legendsplayers will be pleased to hear that Ring Fury will be ending next week as this LTM has been poorly received due to numerous bugs, includingannoying ‘whoosh’ soundscaused by Heat Shields.

Ring Fury Level 3 is a combination ofLevel 1’s basic introduction to ring flaresand Level 2’s giant central ring flare. Unlike Level 1, which had many ring flares spawning around the map, sometimes simultaneously, Level 3 will have its ring flares spawning on Kings Canyon one by one. Also, in every Ring Fury Level 3 match, the first ring flare to spawn in each round will always be a large ring flare in the center of the next ring, almost exactly like Level 2.

Another important rule is that ring flares will only start spawning when the round starts. This means that unlike in Level 2, the large ring flare will not immediately spawn in the middle of Kings Canyon anymore. The large central ring flare is also far smaller than the giant one in Ring Fury Level 2, so players will be able to navigate the safe area far easier this time.

However, the regular ring flares appearing throughout the ring will pressure teams towards the ring flare at the center. Players should ensure they make use of theirHeat Shieldsto get through any dangerous areas to reach advantageous positions.

Standard Ring Fury rules apply otherwise, so all current ring flares will shrink and disappear as soon as a round ends. This along with the fact that ring flares spawn one by one means players will have a short window to quickly loot any areas that were engulfed by ring flares before the new ones spawn in or the ring comes in.

As with Ring Fury Level 2, knowing where the next ring will be, and therefore the next large ring flare, is very useful for players and helps with positioning and planning ahead, so the Recon Legends prove to be invaluable in this LTM once again.

Level 3 of Ring Fury will be sticking around for a few days as the Chaos Theory collection event enters its last week. While Ring Fury has not been particularly well-received, thenext event forApex Legendsmay have leaked online already bringing new changes and cosmetics to the games.

Apex Legendsis available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
