With a sequel on the horizon, fans can rest easy knowing the fact that this excellent game will finally get the continuation — and, as a result, the recognition — that it rightfully deserves.

9Hollow Knight
A Metroidvania Soulslike that is easilyone of the best and most successful amalgamations of both these genres— the innate charm and brilliance present in every part ofHollow Knightmakes it a game worthy of having a sequel.
The worldbuilding and gameplay present in this title are excellent, and a continuation of the same that manages to build upon the excellent mechanics ofHollow Knightwould definitely be appreciated.

A JRPG with a rather disjointed design in terms of storytelling thatmanages to hold itself together through its brilliant turn-based gameplay,Octopath Traveleris a beautiful JRPG that showed a ton of potential through its combat system and boss designs… although its story could certainly use some work.

Given the massive popularity of this game and the problems that have been pointed out time and time again, one can only hope that the sequel to this title ends up working upon the problems of its predecessor’s narrative to develop a near-perfect JRPG experience that would be an absolute joy to play through.
7Arms
Armsis a rarity, in the sense that it’s a rare attempt by Nintendo to create a new IP using unique mechanics that could only be replicated on the Switch.
The gameplay ofArmsis quite a blast, and playing with friends can prove to be an active and competitive affair as players try to get as many hits in as possible. Given that this was Nintendo’s first attempt at anArmsgame, the future is certainly quite bright for the series… provided that Nintendo announces and develops a sequel for the same.

6Yoshi’s Crafted World
WhileYoshi’s Crafted Worldmight be one of the simpler platformers on the Nintendo Switch, there’s no denying the fact that fans of this genre will find themselves right at home with this charming title in a beloved series.
Yoshi’s Crafted Worldmight not be the biggest or the most notable exclusive on the Switch, but a sequel would still be welcome regardless… although there are various other games in this genre that are worthy of this moniker.

5Ring Fit Adventure
Easily one of the most unique games on this list, the arrival ofRing Fit Adventurecouldn’t have been more perfect.
